My Bike!

4/20/2008

I got my birthday present from Mommy and Daddy a little early. I got a bike! Mommy had bought it the day before when we were coming back from Meri's party but I was so tired I didn't really remember.

Today Mommy went to go see the Pope's mass at Yankee Stadium (pictures below) and I went grocery shopping with Daddy. I was helping him unload the car and I saw the bike. I also saw all the kids in the neighborhood playing with their bikes. Daddy took pity on me and went ahead and let me have the bike a few days early.

I have had a lot of fun pushing it around the apartment. Sometimes I sit on it and try to pedal. I almost have it, I still want to push both feet at the same time. I didn't want to put it away at the end of the day so I brought it to the bathroom while I was brushing my teeth. Then I rode it into the bedroom. Mommy says that I am lucky to live in a apartment. If we lived in a house then she would have me leave the bike outside at night. I wouldn't want it to get lonely!

I'm so excited to be almost 2!
And here are a few pictures Mommy took of Pope Benedict XVI in Yankee Stadium.

Happy Birthday Meri!

4/19/2008

Today I went to the birthday party of my friend Meri. Meri is going to be 2 a few days after me but she was having her party early.

It was in an ice cream parlor called Little Scoops in Middletown NY. Mommy and I drove up there. Mommy wanted me to sleep in the car but I was too excited for the party and it was a little early. But of course at 1:00 I fell asleep. At 1:10 Mommy pulled into the parking lot for the party. I wasn't exactly in a party mood then but I eventually warmed up.

We played a lot of games that I enjoyed like Limbo and Hokie-Pokie. My favorite were the parachute games we played. My friend Sam was there. Parachute games were his favorite too! We had a lot of fun chasing each other underneath the parachute.

The pizza and ice-cream were yummy! I also enjoyed Mommy's cupcake. I hope Mommy got some good ideas for my party next week!

Dada is now Daddy!

April 14, 2008

Dada was one of my first words over a year ago. However, yesterday I started saying Daddy instead. (I started saying Mommy in January.)

Mommy and Daddy both think it is great, but they are sad because they realize this means I am growing up!

I have a lot more words that I saw now, but Mommy and Daddy are still figuring out what they mean. But soon I will be unstoppable!
